Liked: The staff!! They were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about our stay!

Liked: Although dated, the room was comfortable and very clean
Disliked: The lodge has an odd smell throughout.

Disappointing

Awesome historical building for a...

Liked: The location was beautiful with our view over Estes Park. The hotel location was also perfect to get onto the highway to explore the parks. It was too far (and the hill too steep) from downtown to walk but that was not an issue since we had a car. We really appreciated the staff telling us upon arrival about the system for National Park access so that we did not miss out on our hikes!
Disliked: There were a few suite repairs to be done ( Kitchen taps leaks & windows were difficult to adjust but did open easily for safety). We did inform the staff about the issues when we left, so hopefully they are taken care of now.

Exceptional

Liked: Rustic feel. Quiet

Not worth the price.

Liked: The staff was very nice and went out of their way to accommodate us given other circumstances happening at the hotel. The hotel rooms had a small kitchen with everything we needed. Pool and jacuzzi was very nice with pretty view.
Disliked: There was a wedding the 2nd night we were at the lodge & music from the reception caused our room to vibrate for 4 hours until 10:00pm. The wedding also prevented us from having access to the bar and restaurant. We payed full price for a room but did not get to enjoy the amenities of the property. I understand the lodge is popular and a beautiful place to have events, but I think the hotel guest needed to be compensated ( reduced rates) for the inconvenience.

Great location and a fantastic...

Liked: The location and everything the room offered was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to RMNP and made for very easy access. It also had easy access to the town, we even walked in most days. The room's small kitchen and coffee maker came in clutch for some early mornings before heading out for a hike.
Disliked: The room got really warm throughout the day and made it a warm room to sleep in. The restaurant requires reservation which since we played the day by ear, we never got to take advantage of. The restaurant list was nice but didn't give much of a price range which could have helped a little - but not a big deal
