Wonderful - 4.5 out of 5

Delightfully restored historical property, superbly...

Liked: Location was great. The property itself is beautiful and so sensitively restored. The rooms are wonderful - quirky, but beautiful. Ours was very small but had a 25ft ceiling height! Sally the cat is a great addition and the staff were so helpful. The wine and cheese hour is delightful, sitting outside on the patio, and milk and biscuits is another lovely touch although I didn’t try it.
Disliked: The breakfast was a bit disappointing given how lovely the rest of the hotel is. But that’s nothing.

Not recommended

Liked: Easy parking
Disliked: Wifi didn’t work. Room was not comfortable or attractive and was very hot; the AC didn’t seem to work. Poor lighting. Bed was super uncomfortable, very mushy.

Great--would stay here again!!

Liked: Room was very roomy and comfortable. Noise level was quiet and relaxing.
Disliked: Fact that there was no ramp at entrance for luggage unloading and loading. My sister and I are in our 70's and we had difficulty with our luggage!!

Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

As pleasant as an over-night...

Liked: Fantastic breakfast. Couldn’t find the promised cookies and milk at 8:00pm. Room was very nice, but faucets in room were difficult to operate without freezing followed by scalding. 301 could use a fixture update. Always great to see the kitty (Sally?). Lovely property and worth the money every time.

Should've known better. Old brick...

Liked: Didn't really like anything. We knew the property was a conversion of a historic mill into a hotel. On some levels it worked, but not in the room(s).
Disliked: First room we were assigned had no side tables, no clothes closet, and was freezing cold. Second room, where we stayed, had one side table for our CPAP machine, no table on other side of king bed. Power was supplied from limited outlets with power strips attached. Code violation? Maybe. Plugs fell out of outlets, one light switch controlled fan and bedside lights. Basically, we spent the first night, until midnight, trying to jerry-rig everything so we could go to sleep. Air conditioning was inadequate for room size and ceiling height.

Liked: Location was great, loved the art and the historical info in the lobby! We missed the wine and cheese happy hours, but milk and cookies was a great touch! Breakfast was great and our minimal experiences with staff were fine.
