Liked: Excellent place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Lovely surroundings.

very disappointed after the build...

Liked: the check-in. the receptionist was eager to tell us about local eateries, not once mentioning the hotels dining facilites.
Disliked: staff wandering around looking glum. Breakfast, burnt dry sausage,wet underdone bacon, no fried egg ? dirty chairs, floor.When we left i noticed the waitress flicking the crumbs of the table randomly onto floor and chair, ready for next person to enjoy.

Liked: Have stayed here many times and will definitely go back.Veg option for dinner was very good. Breakfast very good too with a buffet to suit everyone.Staff all very friendly and make you feel so welcome, which is one of the reasons we come back.
Disliked: Would prefer an option of an early check-in but I can understand why this isn't possible.

Liked: Breakfast was ok: buffet style and very like travelodge. Hotel caters for a lot of coach parties so probably best to get there early.
Disliked: The hotel is in the process of being renovated. Apparently if you get a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor your in luck. Unfortunately we had a room on the first floor. Not only did we have a room which looked like it had been last renovated in the 1980's, housekeeping was also poor. The bath mat was dirty, there were stains on the side of the bed and even the crockery for the tea and coffee wasn't matching. The corridor outside the room hadn't been vacuumed. We arrived late after a ferry crossing from the Outer Hebrides so just wanted a bed for the night but we did raise these issues the following morning. The only person on the reception was the night porter, which was astonishing as it was nearly 8 a.m., and he could only pass the message on.
