Lovely bedroom, friendly bar staff,...

Liked: Great free parking.Comfortable bedNice bedding Very nice roomBathroom was goodToiletries were really nice.Shower was hot.Breakfast was good. I found it a bit greasy but it was a great selection. The Bar staff and young ladies serving food were lovely.
Disliked: Very late check inLeft waiting a long time before anyone served us but it was busy as they had a beer festival on.Owners never introduced themselves although, we worked out who they were. The male owner had a very blunt attitude. When we went to check out he said nothing but ‘have you paid. Oh yes, online.’ He wasn’t very welcoming at all.Up until midnight actually gone midnight on Saturday night, it was really awful hearing the sound from the male toilet, urinating, flushing, hand dryer, door banging and loud talking, it was very off putting and not nice at all. We did mention it but nothing was said or done. We ate in the restaurant on Good Friday evening and Easter Saturday evening. The food on Friday was good, the halloumi was beautiful. My fish and chips were a bit disappointing. The fish was a small piece which was oddly tough. The fish meat was ok it just seemed that the skin between the fish and the batter was tough.Saturday we both had the fish platter. We both felt that the meal was completely overpriced, to be honest the amount of sea food we were served for £14 each was very very disappointing. We wouldn’t recommend the restaurant based on our experience in the evening. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke mixed with body odour and a dirty mop or dirty vacuum filter smell as soon as you went up the stairs to the bedrooms. It was really awful you had to hold your breath going to and from your room. Not a great experience at all.
