Didn't want to leave!

Liked: Everything was fantastic! Catherine was a wonderful host and great to chat to. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was super comfortable! The location of The Haven is ideal for exploring Windermere and surrounding areas.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at the Haven. Location was close to the train and bus interchange making it very convenient to get around. The breakfast was superb in a beautiful setting. Katherine’s hospitality, eye for detail and efficiency made our stay most memorable.

A lovely stay

Liked: The Haven has everything a traveller needs, a welcoming host, comfy bed, clean and spacious room with a delicious breakfast and dietary requirements catered for, also a really central location.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Everything was wonderful! Accommodation was lovely- quiet, comfortable and a very good breakfast. Loved the location close to train and bus station. Host was so helpful with recommendations.

Quiet , Nice and Enjoyable...

Liked: The Location was bang on as was the Hospitality. Its a quintessential nice bungalow well made out and transported you to probably times a couple of decades ago. We were quite happy with the overall property and the courtesies extended.
Disliked: I wish the Vegetarian breakfast had more options.....apart from fruits/ yoghurts a few additional items like cupcakes, fruits could have helped/ satiate. Nevertheless, what was short in tangibles was overcome by the intangibles in terms of hospitality.

We received a warm welcome...

Liked: The Haven is one block off the main street but on a quiet dead end street so basically no traffic went past. We could walk easily to everything we needed in town and left the car in place while we were there. Having a dedicated parking spot was HUGE in an area where parking is at a premium. Catherine could not have been kinder or more welcoming.
Disliked: It was fine for us because my husband is a champion "carry the suitcase up the stairs " kind of guy, but our room was on the top floor and there were 4 half flights of steps and three landings to navigate. It might be a factor for other people.
