Lovey quiet road with access to beach and village. Perfect for a short stay

The Havelock has become one of my favourite places to stay.

Liked: I have visited the Havelock regularly, especially in recent post-Covid years, and it has become a particular favourite of mine. The location is ideal for the beach and cliff top, the Old Town and the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are wonderful, though not good news when you are trying to lose weight !
Disliked: The room was a bit on the small side and didn't face the front. Given the hot weather while I was there, I would have liked to be able to open the windows wider and ventilate the room a bit more. A desk to sit at while writing would have been useful. The bar could stock more local bottled ales. These are relatively minor complaints - I look forward to visiting the Havelock again next year !

Disliked: We could hear the room above us every time they walked across the room. The floor boards were noisy.
