In gardens and woodland the Hare & Hounds is a charming traditional English country house hotel with a popular restaurant and bar. The Westonbirt National Arboretum is half a mile away. There are bedrooms in the original house as well as the Garden Cottage and Coach House. Many overlook the gardens or countryside. All have free Wi-Fi internet access. The Beaufort Restaurant has original features such as a beamed ceiling and large windows that overlook the garden. The Hare & Hounds has a 2 AA rosette for its food. The more casual Jack Hare's is a cozy bar with log fires real ales and tasty meals. The Hare & Hounds Hotel is just off the A433 road with easy access to the M4 and M5 motorways. It is 20 miles from Bath 2 miles from Tetbury.

Super stay … close to...

Liked: Location .. Vibe .. Breakfast
Disliked: We had a disabled bathroom which wasn’t very clean.. The floor especially.

Lovely hotel, perfect for visits...

Liked: Beautiful period property, gorgeous furnishings and decor and a lovely garden. Room was nicely decorated and appointed.
Disliked: Only two things: the pillows were incredibly overstuffed and hard. Gave us neck ache. Also, our shower was very weak.

Great stop over for Westonbirt...

Liked: Lovely grounds and decoration throughout.The kitchen has obviously upgraded their food standard. Everything was delicious and this time you did not leave out of pocket and hungry. Lunch & dinner lovely in bar area.
Disliked: Small but makes all the difference. Rooms need to be aired out with fresh air. My friends rooms were the same.
