Perfect weekend getaway

Disliked: Expensive but all the hotels in Greenport are expensive

The hotel is perfectly sited,...

Liked: The room was very comfortable and spacious. We were able to open windows to get fresh air while sleeping. The staff were gracious and helpful.
Disliked: The reception area and breakfast room/lounge area were undergoing a tasteful renovation/upgrade complete with construction workers, drop cloths and tricky access around passages. A heads up about all that would have been appreciated. That said, hotel staff did a skillful work around so that all guests had access to morning coffee and tea and the complimentary breakfast.

Excellent location, friendly staff

Liked: Excellent location with lots to do, see, eat nearby. The beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast was good. No bagels, but they're just around the corner at Goldbergs.
Disliked: There needs to be more lighting in the room. The shower was silly - a hotel shower should be easy for anyone to use, but this one had a hard to turn knob that only partly selected which of the sprays would be active while the others dribbled.

Disliked: Unfortunately there was massive renovation happening when we arrived that became a major inconvenience during our stay. However the hotel manager reached out to us and apologized and comped us to our satisfaction. It is obvious this location is and will continue to be a very nice place. I will definitely be back.

Everything was nice except for...

Liked: We liked our room, the beautiful bathroom and the little balcony. The beds were comfortable and the check-in staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The only thing that we thought was not acceptable was the breakfast provided. There was insufficient seating and the items were stale and lacking in choices. Also, I did not like the coffee. We left and went to a local restaurant for breakfast twice.
