The hotel is in Llangollen town center looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts including free Wi-Fi free parking and a riverside garden. The Hand Hotel was fully refurbished in early 2010. The rooms with attached bathroom have TVs radios hairdryers and tea/coffee. Many have views of Llangollen or the River Dee. Some rooms have free Wi-Fi. A full English breakfast is available each morning. The hotel's original Georgian restaurant serves home-cooked food and looks out over the gardens and the river. There is also a special bar menu that changes regularly. The hotel offers entertainment including popular live rock and roll on Saturdays and traditional jazz on the first Sundays of the month.

A relaxing stay at The...

Liked: The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice of hot and cold food as well as juice, fruit, yogurts. The hot buffet was particularly good offering eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding, baked beans, tomatoes and mushrooms. As it was Easter bank holiday, breakfast was available from 8am until 10am, allowing a leisurely start to the day.Our room was comfortable and clean with en suite bathroom and shower.We enjoyed a very good roast turkey dinner on Easter Sunday. There was plenty of everything including extra gravy and a delicious Cranberry sauce.
Disliked: The pressure and temperature of the water in the sink in the bathroom could have been better. Also the TV in the room did not seem to have any BBC channels for some reason.

Lovely Easter break.

Liked: Breakfast very good in a very pleasant room. Beautiful view of river from bedroom.
Disliked: Plumbing needs to be upgraded.

Liked: Staff kindly agreed to move us when we requested a river view, very accommodating.
