A lovely place that was...

Liked: What a fabulous place. We ended up in the bigger room at the back of the house away from the road and it was so big and roomy, with a lovely lounge and a terrace to spend time on. It was very comfortable with good pillows etc, and some lovely detail around the room. The breakfast was delicious and very much worth buying. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and I can honestly say, it was spectacular. One of the best meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We would go again in a heartbeat. There were some lovely little details in the room like brownies on arrival and fresh milk rather than those little UHT cartons, and a good coffee machine.
Disliked: The room at the front of the hotel was lovely but if you like quiet, you're best spending a little bit more on the bigger room at the back of the house. Both rooms were beautiful!

Top quality service, nice room,...

Liked: Absolutely first class and faultless service from the staff, very welcoming and friendly. Top quality breakfast, comfy bed and stylish and smart looking room. The evening food looked amazing but we did not eat there due to visiting family.
Disliked: We had the bedroom at the front of the building which faces onto an extremely busy and noisy road used as a cut-through by heavy goods vehicles all day and night. The traffic noise was quite loud and unacceptable, making it difficult to sleep, and I think the management should recognize this and add secondary glazing 'and' internal shutters to try to reduce the noise. It would not take much to improve on this problem; just do it for future customers! I assume the room at the back is not so affected by the traffic noise. Also some fittings in the bathroom were falling off or broken, again, the management could do with staying in the room for one night and checking for these things! If these issues could be improved it would be a great place to stay.

Perfect location, accommodation and food.

Liked: Stayed just the one night to see family but the proprietors/staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even offered to carry our bags up to our room.The room was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed.Great shower and very comfortable bed. We didn’t eat there in the evening as we were meeting family but the breakfast was outstanding.A very enjoyable stay.
Disliked: Didn’t affect us but there wasn’t much clothes hanging space if staying a few nights.
