It was just a shame...
Liked: It’s an unusual property which I would have liked time to explore. It would be nice if there was historical information about the place for patrons to read.
Disliked: Oh boy.. I received a key to my room but not the external door, so I couldn’t leave. I messaged the manager but got no answer. I was told my room was self contained with fridge and microwave , but there was no microwave. There was no cutlery, including teaspoons to make coffee. The top of the jug and fridge door were dirty with loose food bits. And where my room was situated, everyone seemed to stop in front of it to talk during the night, when coming in from being out. On top of that, I was charged more than what I booked the room for. I was so disappointed ☹️

Such a great place to...
Liked: The Hallows is a very comfortable and quirky place to stay. Being set in an old convent with some original features it was comfortable, inviting and warm and was a great place to explore
Disliked: The showers were either extremely hot or just warm but still okay if you didn't compete with other visitors

Liked: Sleeping facilities were perfect, best sleep I've had in ages. I liked the historical significance of the property.

Disappointed. Not sure the price...
Liked: We have been there several times before and were happy with the room given we are aware it’s 3 stars. Good for a stay of 3-4 nights cost wise. Room was clean. Parking is good. Wifi and access to tv has improved no drop outs or issues this time.
Disliked: Fridge did not work so had to use our own car fridge to keep food going off. Light did not work in kitchen (they changed this quickly though the next day). They said they would try and replace the fridge but not sure they tried very hard. The other issue was there were workers staying there, so they had their muddy boots, tools and equipment everywhere - on the verandas of the entrance way to get you keys, ( trip hazard at night) to dodge, in the hallways to the room and in the common lounge full of dirty. Mud everywhere. It has lost its appeal. It’s looking tired and not being kept up .
