Poor hotel.

Liked: The location was very good.
Disliked: The hotel room we were originally given was in the loft, which was very very claustrophobic, I asked to be moved to a bigger room, which the receptionist did for us, the second room was not much better. The ensuite was so small you could hardly turn around in it. The bed, however, was extremely uncomfortable, and matress was lumpy and sunken in the middle I have never had such a bad experience before. I am not normally one to complain, but when I was checking out I gave the receptionist positive criticism. She just laughed at me, saying the mattresses were only 3 years old and very heavy. The waiting time in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was more than 30 minutes. The service was extremely poor. There was no lift in the hotel, no phone in either of the rooms that you could order room service or speak to reception. No drinking water bottles were provided in the room. These rooms were not worth £172.00 per night. We spoke to a poor couple who had a 6 month old baby with a pushchair, who were given a loft room. The flights of stairs were challenging to climb for them. We saw them twice struggling in the very narrow staircases. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
