BEST place in Abergavenny!

Liked: Host greeted me at the front door the minute I arrived, and walked me to the room. Great location just minutes from town. A tasty Breakfast is included and served between 7.30 and 9am.
Disliked: Everything was perfect.

Liked: Friendly welcome without being overly fussy. Very comfortable bed and nice, clean room.

Ok once I got in....

Liked: Best to ask for the full-ish breakfast, which looked good - a much better deal than just asking for one or two things! Cereals juice and coffee all good.Very good tea and coffee selection in room
Disliked: 1. No dedicated parking. Had to park on the path for about an hour with flashers going until someone further down the road left a space.2. Had difficulty getting in when i arrived as i think the owner was out and i had difficulty communicating with him. I didnt actually know where the owner was and his info was rather vague, and signal not good, so had to spend about 40 minutes hanging around ringing bells and trying phones etc. Very frustrating and made me a bit late for my appointment later. To avoid this, I advise travellers to ring once en route and give a definite ETA

Liked: The host (Kevin) and staff were very nice. The location was convenient enough for walking into town.
Disliked: The room was very small - especially for 2 adults with luggage for a 4 week trip - and brutally hot (although it was a very warm time in Wales.)

It was a comfortable one...

Liked: The room was nicely decorated, light and comfortable. All necessary facilities provided. The guest house had a pleasant homely quality. The breakfast choice, quality and quantity was very good. And served in a pleasant personal way. An ideal way to start the day: I had a relatively long drive home.

Home away from home.

Liked: Really liked my room ‘Punchbowl’, and the staff. I liked how laid back it was. The breakfast was really nice, and as a vegetarian I liked how I was accommodated for.
