Excellent overnight stay, good central...

Liked: Excellent coffee/tea tray. Plenty of milks etc. Lovely comfy bed and the shower was better than ours at home

Liked: The staff were exceptionally accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. In particular, there were very helpful with providing guidence regarding finding some long stay parking.The room itself was clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was basic but clean. There was a great selection of tea/coffee for drinks. We were even provided with complimentary water and a selection of biscuits! It was perfect for an overnight stay.The location is central and close to all of the towns main attractions.
Disliked: There is no parking outsideThe Groves only a short stay car park (which Google suggests is 'long stay'). However, there is a long stay car park only a five minute walk along the main street.Initially, there was a slight drain smell in the bathroom. But this disappeared. The building is old so it was not a massive surprise and was no reflection on the cleanliness of the room.

Knaresborough itself wasn't as good...

Liked: Breakfast was not available.One member of staff stood out for excellent customer service.I regret not getting her name she was a dark young lady.

Liked: Lovely big room, great value for money. We enjoyed the meals downstairs in the pub, and the hospitality tray was generous.Also, it is very dog friendly.
Disliked: You need to walk up two flights of stairs, something to consider if you have mobility issues.
