Disliked: Restaurants are a little over priced

We had a great stay.

Liked: We loved the outdoor pool and location of hotel. It’s worth upgrading to a deluxe room.
Disliked: We had a great time although the restaurant choices could be better. The bar menu is limited, the glasshouse is extremely expensive. £90 per head for Sunday lunch and £80 for evening. We also missed the games room, if it’s wet it’s limited for the children as all activities are outside.

Exceptional

Liked: It's local to where I live but it was a complete escape
Disliked: Shower and bath together also bath difficult to get into and no handles for safety

Liked: Good leisure facilities, including the indoor pool at the spa. The outdoor pool was heated and the water temperature exceeded our expectations for an outdoor pool. Having the ‘beach area’ with games equipment for older children was a nice touch.Great indoor pool for little ones with well equipped changing rooms. Food was excellent at the restaurants we visited during our stay. The buffet breakfast and evening buffet were exceptional. Well worth the expense.
Disliked: Only a slight downside was walking past the open plan conference/venue rooms to get to and from our rooms.

Poor

Disliked: Expensive, room hot, aircon poor, breakfast was meant to be included - but was charged for - small print apparently referenced that breakfast was only included if taken in the restaurant, not for breakfast in the room, but the restaurant breakfast was not open early enough

Not great value for your...

Liked: It has a lot of different activities for kids
Disliked: It feels old and not great value for your money. The staff didn’t introduce the grounds or facilities when we checked in. The amenities in the room didn’t work (bath tub water was either really cold or boiling hot and slow dripping). I think for £700/night it should be better. Also there was a party until 4am and super loud music. The kids club is really far away from the main premises and it was not renovated. So are the rest of the kids activity so it’s not ideal with young children. The nursery teachers left my children with outdoor jackets on and didn’t change their nappies. It just felt quite poorly maintained and old.
