Would not go back, extremely...

Liked: The breakfast was ok. The staff were friendly it was the owner who wasn't!
Disliked: Paying attention to my request would have been a good start ( I had enquired about ceiling heights in the fourposter room I had booked as I am 6'7") as some rooms had sloping ceilings so in their wisdom they moved us to a room that had exactly this issue, a step up into the bathroom and the room was small and very cramped, it had a sleigh bed which I found difficult to get out of due to its design, there was no wardrobe but hangers on a pole which you couldn't access as they were behind the chair they had squeezed into the room. We requested to change and were given a family room and had just settled in when the owner called at 22.30 hrs and was extremely obnoxious and rude and told us we had to move back! He argued with us and was patronising saying that a four poster would have been a problem for me... I have a four poster at home! I said it was the ceiling height that we asked about and we are fully aware what a four poster bed is after further rudeness he then asked if I was infirm, stating he was 70 years old and could have managed in the original room they had put us in, that was not the point and he was not the paying guest, plus they had moved me from my original booking to a substandard room in comparison to what I had booked. In answer to my physical health I am in fact recovering from cancer and when he heard this he declared, well you won't be moving then will you. It was like being on the set of Faulty Towers. I also requested rooms near each other... nope didn't get that either, the place is like a rabbit warren. I feel sorry for the staff who were all lovely.

Liked: Excellent location for our needs (attending show at Kilworth House). Unbelievably friendly staff!!!
Disliked: 1 minor criticism: our window didn't open and the room was warm. We would have liked some fresh air.
