Room disappointing for the cost

Liked: Nice food. Small portions which I actually appreciate. Quiet location.
Disliked: It was a boiling hot night and all the window retainers were broken so potentially we couldn't have any fresh air in room. A gentleman from reception tied a window open with a bit of string. Would expect opening windows for this much money. Also charged £45 on checkout for one (possibly two) bottles of mineral water, a single gin and tonic and a small bottle of beer. No idea if this was correct as bill not itemised and bar service was disorganised

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location...

Liked: Our room was fabulous, grounds are gorgeous and the staff super kind and helpful. Breakfast was good too.
Disliked: Generally the spa was really nice but the hot tub, wasn’t hot and the jets weren’t working properly. Which is a shame as such a cute courtyard. What was weird though was when we queried with the staff we were told it was a lazy river pool - which didn’t make any sense at all. Something for management to fix.

Liked: The whole experience. From stepping into the hotel, we were made to feel very special guests, to the cleanliness of the entire hotel and spa, Dinner and breakfast were absolutely beautiful.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very relax holiday in The...

Liked: Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but not too many choices. We like the 7 courses dinner very much. It is a surprise to us.
Disliked: Room is okay but the carpet is quite old and there are stains on it. Also, we made massage appointment for 2 but they couldn't find it. Luckily, the manager helped to fix it finally.

Liked: The properties character, very friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness and good sized rooms. Extra bed for child was a good sized sofa bed! Access to basic EV charging (outdoor 3 pin plug) all that was needed for our needs.
Disliked: Nothing.

A very comfortable and enjoyable...

Liked: Location and surroundings were exceptional. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast of full English was very nice.The room was lovely and spacious, beautiful decor and very comfortable. Attended for a friend's wedding and the staff did her proud. Discovered whilst we were there, that the hotel is also dog friendly. Very good to know for the future as we have 2 dogs.
Disliked: The TV in the room was a little small for the size of the room. Moreso as it was so far away from the bed due to the lovely size of the room, but that is really being picky as we weren't there to watch tv to be fair. Whilst the breakfast was delicious and sufficient, the couple on the table next tou ours was offered toast with their breakfast, but when we were served, this wasn't offered. Didn't ask initially when the waitress took our order as we assumed it was a given that a slice of toast would be provided. By the time the waitress had taken the couple next to us order, we had finished our breakfast so didn't bother to then ask for some. That said, we just thought of the extra calories we had saved ourselves.
