Very convenient and good food

Liked: Lovely room and food was delicious for both evening meal and breakfast.
Disliked: We stayed on an extremely hot night and although there was a fan in the room it was very noisy.

Did the job, needs updating,...

Liked: Friendly staff, beautiful building, room did the job. It was clean, breakfast was delicious
Disliked: The rooms were in need of some TLC, they were tired, needed cracks filling in the walls, some unfinished bits in the bathroom. Also no way to control the temperature in the room, so you would need to open a window, however it’s on a fairly busy road so it is noisy at night. The cost of the room was a bit too much versus what it had to offer, but did the job - the rooms did not reflect a standard of the cost.

Good location for Royal Porthcawl...

Liked: The staff were most helpful and friendly.The food was outstanding!
Disliked: Given the age of the property, warm summer days lead to a build up of heat; which made it difficult to sleep, even with the windows open.A fan would have helped.

Perfect stay, would recommend to...

Liked: Quirky room, with dark walls funky LED flights around the room and lights on the ceiling imitating stars. Really wasn't expecting the room to look like that as it's so quaint from outside but really cool and we loved it!!!
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely old building with a great garden to have a drink and unwind, friendly staff, great room. Comfortable and clean
Disliked: But of trouble getting the shower to work and the bathroom door didn’t close

Perfect for men on a...

Liked: For us the location was good because it is 50 yards from a great restaurant for dinner. The rooms are very adequate for a single traveller. The beds and bedding are excellent, as are the facilities in the rooms, and the towels are great. The shower was excellent and the shower room was first rate. Easy parking. Good breakfast.
Disliked: The mastic around the shower was cracked and with small spots of black mould in parts - needs an easy fix.

Great value tk stay in...

Liked: Staff super helpful when we arrived early letting us use the function room to change, ringing us a taxi to the station. The breakfast was amazing! Would love to stay here again and enjoy the cosy bar and the outside area was really smart too.
Disliked: Nothing
