Served a purpose but I...

Liked: Staff friendly and accommodating, let us into our room early.
Disliked: Shower was very poor. Building all a bit tatty - for example, the windows in our room were very dirty.I did not feel encouraged to try their food.

The location suited us for...

Liked: Good location, period property. Very comfortable bed.Clean towelsFriendly staff
Disliked: Shabby and in need of refurbishment. Not very good breakfast - cooked items in warming trays were not very hot. A few packs of cereal, no fruits or yoghurt and no facility to order from kitchen.

Very good

Liked: friendly staff. Good dinner. Lots of tea/coffee. Very easy parking.
Disliked: It was hot, so I had the window open. An outside boiler was occasionally noisy. With the double glazed window shut, this wouldn't have been a problem.

Beautiful location, but tired accommodation.

Liked: Lovely location and garden was well kept and quiet with a nice ambience. The chalet had adequate space and a comfortable bed.
Disliked: The furnishings, decor and bathroom were all a bit tired, there was no fridge and whilst a microwave is provided there are no plates or cutlery

Good value for a one...

Liked: Last minute. Difficult to find using Apple or Google maps. Loved the historic feel.
Disliked: Old uncomfortable mattress.

A most enjoyable experience worth...

Liked: I stayed in a log cabin, it was lovely, clean and a lot larger that I thought it may be. The dinner as well as the breakfast was fit for a king. Large, tasty, well cooked and very nicely presented.
Disliked: I could not get the room door to lock. Only because I had never locked one like this before. Once shown how to do it by a very nice staff member, it was no longer a problem.
