Nice play to stay

Liked: The room was very nice, with a window that opened and a small balcony with doors that opened, two big arm chairs to sit in. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, especially the Eggs Benedict. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Easy walking to the sights of Christchurch and restaurants.
Disliked: It fronts onto a busy street and there’s a construction project right next door so if you want quiet, ask for a room away from the front of the house and on the east side. The traffic didn’t keep me awake, quieter at night. Shower was a bit weird, had trouble setting it up to shower all of me without detaching it and using it as a hand-held shower. China teacups too small to make an instant coffee half milk so I had tea instead. Flat white in breakfast room was good.
