Sadly we were disappointed with...

Liked: Lovely garden and comfortable bar area. Food was good but not exceptional.
Disliked: Communication about check in by impersonal email. Checkout by key drop with no acknowledgement by staff that you had even left the property. We felt more of a nuisance than a paying guest. Room had not been checked and cleaned properly prior to our stay.

Exceptional

Liked: A perfect and peaceful retreat with very comfortable rooms (and good tea/coffee provision), an excellent bar, garden and restaurant. 'In the middle of nowhere', but in the best possible way and just a few minutes' drive from Sherborne. Our visit overlapped with the silent film event in the church 'next door', which was a memorable and very lovely experience.

Great stay at The Grange!

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. The garden room was clean and comfortable with its own patio set. The food was delicious, the best sea bass I have ever been served. I loved the quirky decor. There was something interesting wherever you looked.e.g. central lights made of wine glasses, and one made of decanters. Great idea! Loved everything about this hotel.
Disliked: Loved everything.

Liked: The garden
Disliked: The place is far away. The food is expensive. 28 pounds 2 pieces of fish. I was attacked by the owner for taking my receipt after paying. The day I was leaving the owner just entered my room screaming. I had a horrible expetience

Most enjoyable and good value.

Liked: Excellent rural situation, delicious breakfast and dinner, very friendly and welcoming service, throughout, and comfortable bed with all the facilities required and the whole establishment was very nice and clean.
