CeAnn, Port Sanilac, visiting South Point Arena Tue, 22 August 2023
Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and the pools were great. Convenient shuttle to the strip and free shuttle to Walmart was nice. Very good location if attending an event in the South Pointe Arena.
Liked: Very convenient for an event in the South Pointe Arena. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. It was great to have the kitchen so we did not have to eat every meal out.
Disliked: A bit pricey.

Liked: Everything was amazing.
Disliked: The constant smell of marijuana coming through the air conditioner was a major issue, especially with children present.

Overall for the price the...
Liked: The size of the rooms were great. The rooms accommodated all our needs. I liked there was laundry in the unit. The kitchen was a plus.
Disliked: Hallways and elevators were kind of dirty. Parking was difficult, could not find spots to park. Kids throwing hard balls in the pool, lack of parental supervision.

Disliked: The stay was largely a nightmare from the word go. Our GPS brought us to the back entrance - come to find out, that's where the timeshare presentations are held. There was very little signage to the actual main lobby / check in area. Once we did get checked in, we were sent to speak to someone about getting our parking tag for our vehicle - that's when the spiel starts. He offered us a buffet in exchange for a "short presentation." Hard pass. It was already late and I was with two small kids, but it was hard to even get out of that conversation and for him to finally take a "no" and give us our parking pass. Our room for two adults and two kids was a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed didn't have any linens and the closet just had an empty bag. So I had to go back to the main lobby and request bedding. As I said, it was already late and I was already at my wit's end so this was definitely not a good way to end the day. Most of our time was spent at the pool or on the strip, which is probably a good thing. The more time we spent in the suite, the more poor workmanship became apparent. I'd be livid if I paid a timeshare for such a horrible room!! Yes, there was a kitchen, soaking tub, and it was spacious. But the shower had a 1/2 in gap under the door, so the floor got soaked each time we showered. There were no shelves in the shower, nor any wall-mounted shampoos/conditioners. The ventilation was loud (or cycled off) making sleep difficult. The cleanliness was questionable, too. The kitchen had dishes, but there were fruity pebbles already in two of the bowls (i.e. not cleaned), the towels had a weird odor, and the pool had a layer of grime/build up on the liner. And when I stepped into the shower, my feet (which had only been out of my socks and shoes when in the room) left dirt in the tub... so we all were forced to keep our shoes on any time we were inside.

Liked: The place was super nice, with a big kitchen, a jacuzzi and a super comfy bed!
Disliked: The location. You have to take Uber to go back and forth from the strip. There is a nice Casino next-door called "SouthPoint" where they accept 5 dollars minimum bet every day of the week.
