Under staffed. Advertised breakfast but not available. No spare soap or toilet roll. Shower not working.
Liked: Was clean.
Disliked: Shower not working. Couldn't get key till 3.30 as no one on reception.

Wouldn't stay again
Liked: Breakfast awful was ready as soon as we sat down , it was cold and low value for money. It was pre made before we got there.
Disliked: The room had a smashed window that was taped up.

Passable
Liked: The location and the sea view was perfect,and they excepted dogs but had to pay a extra fee
Disliked: The breakfast was cold buy time it came, The room never got cleaned, but they said they only had the one key as the other got broken ,The shower was poor there wasn't enough pressure for the water but it was still hot water there, there was parking at the rear off the hotel but only 3 spaces so if it was full you had to go to a car park and pay extra to park

Liked: Room was really good, comfortable bed , amazing Vue of the sea front. Staff were polite and friendly, would definitely recommend this hotel .

Poor
Liked: Where is was located was good
Disliked: The rooms could have been cleaned more, and the floors weren't hooved or washed. Beding didn't look washed dust everywhere. Kettle was disgusting 😒 . Rooms were two hot . Breakfast ended up at McDonald's as I didn't know the time or where to go, ect ect no information at all placed didn't look like the photos.

I was traumatised, embarrassed and...
Liked: I was harassed and embarrassed, Ihad made my booking since 16th of June, only for the staff to tell me that my reservations were not on the system, i was very upset and raised my voice, then the staff called the police, i was told to leave the premises, the police escorted me off the premises, later, i called my pastor, he came down to the hotel to resolve the issue, i was later allowed to stay, i was emotionally drained, and traumatised, i have NEVER experienced such embarrassment in my entire life...the staff are unprofessional in all ramifications, i will appreciate if this issue is addressed, the staff didn't deem it fit to apologise for the misunderstanding, imagine the staff calling the police, just because i was trying to express myself. Matter of fact, i called the hotel about 30mins before my arrival, they confirmed my reservations and told me my room no( room 8)Secondly they allowed a guest to lodge with a aggressive dog. Then the bathroom was dirty, the shower was blocked with human hair that had blocked the drain, I personally cleaned the shower .I expected them to tender an apology...Am not criminal, they shouldn't have brought in the police, after all the embarrassment, they resolved the issue without contacting the police to let them know that the issue had been resolved
Disliked: The staff unprofessional, the bathroom dirty, the room is not worth the price of the rooms...matter of fact, Grand hotel should be taken of booking. Com....I don't know how they got their licence, the kitchen was extremely dirty, the microwave was in bad condition, the kitchen isn't conducive for preparation of meals, the standard of the hotel doesn't meet the standard of health and safety procedures, the hospitality commission should send their officials to inspect the premises.

Very disappointing, dirty and basic...
Liked: Receptionist was very friendly. Bed linen and towels were clean .
Disliked: Very dusty floor in the bedroom, furniture very tired , damaged and uncomfortable bucket chairs , balcony very dirty with bird mess. Dining room not very welcoming, no personal touches on the tables or walls , no side plates for your toast , very basic breakfast selection. The hotel is now dog friendly and unfortunately one dog had messed on the wall , door, skirting board, carpet and main hallway , staff was informed but only cleaned the hallway flooring at the time we were there. It’s not the fault of the staff it’s the irresponsible dog owner !I would not recommend this hotel at all . Standards have definitely dropped since we were there a few years ago !!
