Great weekend and look forward...

Liked: The service was great staff friendly lovely old hotel very grand in its day okay there was a few tatty bits of wallpaper but still a very comfortable hotel with lovely views
Disliked: Maybe the pool could do with a update and water was very warm on a hot day

Liked: I stayed at The Grand Hotel for the first time in March 2025 and had such a great experience that I booked another stay in April! – Gorgeous sea view room (March stay)– Friendly staff who remembered me– Compass Bar atmosphere - amazing view – No sea view but quieter stay which I found more comfortable (April stay)– Delicious cream tea! – Convenient for train travellers
Disliked: – Bit of a walk from the coach station– Contrast to the modernised rooms, bathrooms look a tat dated.

Liked: Lovely Seaview, clean room, comfortable bed, delicious dinner, great location
Disliked: Balcony was a bit dirty (cigarette butts) and weathered, but added to the charm of an old fashioned seaside resort I guess

Liked: Location is good.
Disliked: -outdated-dusty room with chipping paint, plug sockets coming out of wall, bathroom tiles chipped, windows are filthy, carpet is dirty-the outdoor pool was dirty, bricks next to pool appear to be coming away, cut my hand sitting by the pool because of this. -expensive for the quality of room-shower barely works-tv would turn itself off for no reason

Pool was grubby - windows...

Liked: Jaded old hotel. The staff were great but it’s the wrong side of town and it needs a bucket of money spent on it…
Disliked: The first room on the fourth floor - we asked to move
