An excellent choice and I...

Liked: Loved the location. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. Buffet style. Other options available on request. Fresh fruit salad and prunes. Only had dinner there one night but it was excellent. My colleagues ate in the restaurant four evenings and they were impressed with the meals. The staff were helpful with the Stannah stair lift and luggage. A good car park but I didn’t come by car. Airport Flyer bus from Bristol cheap and reliable. Good connections by train too.
Disliked: Personally I thought it excellent however the only access for guests with mobility aids and wheelchairs is up a Stannah type stair lift (about 6 or 7 steps). There is a revolving door and a side door which opens fully once up the steps. The staff help with this. They also take luggage up and down for people who need it.

Love this Hotel.its faded beauty....

Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Hot, well cooked, plentiful, staff so helpful, plenty of tables even with a coach load arriving next day too. My husband enjoyed the really good sausages, bacon and lovely crispy hash browns

Liked: The bedroom was spacious and clean, and the meals were delicious
Disliked: There was no entertainment of a night, and there were limited alcoholic drinks offered in the bar.

The receptionist ripped us off...

Disliked: No air conditioning and the window can only be opened 5 cm, so the room is very warm even in May. Room, wall and carpets need renovation. The television was no more than 20 years old, max 10x10😆and couldn't even stand up straight. Be careful when booking and paying for parking at reception. We paid £10 per night but a few weeks later we were fined for unpaid parking. So we paid £144 for the stay, £10 for parking and £120 for a fine for this old, grumpy hotel, very nice and this hotel is definitely not worth £274, it is not a Hilton......... and of course the hotel not answer message or email or help with the fine
