Set in the beautiful North York Moors The Grainary offers accommodations with beautiful countryside views.The farm is set in 40 acres of open countryside in Harwood Dale and has its own wildlife and numerous scenic walking routes. Each of the 15 colorful modern rooms in The Grainary include private bathrooms as well as a Freeview TV and a welcome tray with tea coffee and biscuits. Harwood Dale Forest which surrounds The Grainary provides plenty of trails for watching wildlife including birds (night jars) roe deer badgers foxes and dragonflies including our woodland board walk to the wet land area which includes the rare Royal Fern. Free parking is available at The Grainary and the seaside town of Scarborough is 15 minutes' drive away. Historic Whitby can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Harwood Dale Forest which is 4 miles from The Grainary is popular for watching wildlife including birds roe deer badgers foxes and dragonflies.

Good overall, would return but...

Liked: Location was lovely with views that were stunning
Disliked: The rooms were quite warm even with the heating turned off and the windows left open. A sheet rather than a duvet would have been nice as an option. Other guests were a little noisy so we were disturbed a couple of times after 11pm.

Completely Perfect

Liked: This place is absolutely spectacular, I can't recommend it highly enough, the location, the room, the shared space (bar/restaurant/snug area), everything was completely perfect! The food was also amazing, with a brilliant selection of drinks, we had a full 3 courses, all different and all amazing as well as a wonderful full English the ne t morning.
