Good location but a tired...

Liked: The hotel was very centrally located, the staff we met were friendly and car parking was a reasonable price, bedding and towels were all clean.
Disliked: The décor in the room was needing attention as there were at least 3 large areas of water / damp damage and there were patches of mismatched paintwork. The grout in the bathroom needed to be bleached as it was mildewy. The TV in the room didn't connect to the WiFi and when we tried our phones the password didn't work. The electronic door lock on the front door didn't work meaning we had to wait for staff to open it. On arrival the area around the back of the hotel was extremely untidy and grubby. The reception and entrance were unwelcoming. All in all it had a quite depressed feel about it.

Liked: It was in an excellent location and was good value for money. The room was quite small, but comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also had its own carpark.
Disliked: Nothing

Convenient and good stay

Liked: The staff were friendly and kind. It sits in the middle of the old town's main street, easy to access from the station, and restaurants and pubs are nearby.
Disliked: I don't have much to complain. Barrier-free accommodation could be a problem as there are a few steps in the hotel, and the building is also historical. But I guess the staff will help.

Disliked: The hotel is in an old historic building which would benefit from some redecorating.
