It was pleasant.

Liked: The room was comfortable although a bit dated jn decor
Disliked: There was one staff member doing everything. Reception,bar and waitress.

Liked: Lovely big hotel, extremely friendly owner and staff. Sunday roast was one of the best I've ever had!

Disliked: The bed in our room (133) was comfortable but you rolled to the middle of the bed while sleeping

Liked: Staff very friendly and helpful, food in the restaurant was lovely. Location was great, central and just a short walk to, Tea Room, Kinima in the woods, Petwood a little further but nice walk.
Disliked: Nothing great short break

Liked: Nice big room looking out onto the grounds.Within walking distance to the shops and museum.Very nice evening meal and breakfast.Lovely friendly lady on reception/bar.

Friendly staff, ok-ish for the...

Liked: Friendly staff, free parking. Not sure about the food, but breakfast was ok.
Disliked: Needs refurbishing- it’s quite old. Looks better on the outside. Bed wasn’t the best - two soft spring mattresses joined together… and shower was blocked.

Disappointing

Liked: Lovely looking hotel with a very modern reception, restaurant and bar area. Unfortunately the rooms are extremely dated and clearly not the cleanest. Carpets are very old, bathroom was very small and shower drain was blocked with hair!
