Closed with No Warning

Disliked: The property was closed. They took my payment, but failed to offer a refund. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded my money.

Not a good experience, very...

Disliked: The place was closed with no accommodation available after paying in full on line. No contact number given on the closed sign. I slept in my car that night on a car park. I had a very hard time getting a refund.

DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT...

Disliked: This property should not be advertised on any booking sites - I had arranged for 4 people to stay here as working nearby. On arrival the place was in darkness and obviously not open. On ringing the number given with the booking - he was told they were now unable to stay here and we would be sent a refund ! When I spoke to Booking.com they did not know anything about the cancellation ! I am still waiting for a refund.The owner was rude and gave no explanation as to why he decided to cancel the booking and leave 4 guys in -2 conditions to go find somewhere else to stay !

Really dsappointed

Liked: Ok ish room.
Disliked: We arrived to find the pub shut and a note on the door with instructions of how to get into our room. We had booked a meal in the pub for the evening so this didn't happen. We had to drive out again to find somewhete to eat. No prior communication or warning.

Liked: The food and staff, was very good, good atmosphere.
Disliked: The rooms were clean, but smelt, of dogs, if we knew, dogs were allowed, we wouldn't have booked

Perfect rest stop

Liked: Last minute booking and the host was very welcoming. Lovely country pub and homely rooms.
