Picturesque, central, unpretentious, and charming,...

Liked: A charming inn with all the amenities in the center of town., location is perfect. The staff was super responsive and flexible, and changed around our rooms when they didn't meet my sister's needs. Excellent food, including nice breakfast. If you like staying at B and B's with twisty staircases and wonderful character, you will find the Globe warm and inviting.
Disliked: Very hard for an American to figure out how to work the showers!! They are fancy and nice but: they should come with instructions!

Not the best stay due...

Liked: Convenient for folk festival.
Disliked: Towels - happy to reuse every night but no towel rails to hang them on to dry! Small rail in bathroom only big enough for hand towels. They were changed every day but there would be no need if this had been thought about. No shower tidy in shower so nowhere to put bottles except on floor. Room cleaning variable tea bags not topped up, sometimes biscuits left sometimes only one pack sometimes not at all. Likewise bottles of water. Breakfast choices poor - menu not as per website. Poor choice on breakfast bar, no fruit, had to ask for granola and Greek yoghurt. One day yoghurt was put on breakfast bar but nothing to have with it. No toast offered. No teapots put out had to ask for them. Tea cups too small - why no mugs as in rooms?

We had a wonderful weekend...

Liked: Location is central, we were visiting the folk festival and it was great for us.Breakfast was delicious and all the staff we encountered during our stay, were very friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like.
