The Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel

Exceptional

Good but could improve.

Liked: the Glenmoriston is an old favourite and has a great location on the river.
Disliked: Unfortunately the hotel is in need of a makeover as everything is just a little tired.

Liked: Lovely central location. Comfortable room. Excellent shower. Decent parking
Disliked: The only thing that I didn’t like was the eternity you had to wait on your breakfast. Took over 20mins to arrive by which point I was running late and had to ram the food in my mouth. This place is not cheap so they need figure out how to make breakfast more efficient. Unacceptable

Great stay, but not the...

Liked: Great location beside the river with plenty of parking. Very spacious quiet room in an annexe outside. Annexe had a lovely large sitting room. Good bar food in the evening, though the bar was a little noisy with some big groups in and we did not have the option to eat in the restaurant as we had our dog with us. Nice walks along the river bankDelicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly helpful staff

Pleasant enough but restaurant less...

Liked: The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable. The bar was well stocked and the staff on reception, in the bar and restaurant were friendly, attentive and non-intrusive.
Disliked: I have stayed at the hotel many times over the past two decades and the food has always been of a very high standard, i.e. borderline fine dining. This time however, the food was closer to high quality pub food - more quantity but of less quality than in previous stays. It was still good but not anywhere near fine dining. In addition, the price of both the accommodation and the restaurant had risen considerably and so no longer represents good value for money.
