Superb

Liked: The heater was malfunctioning when checked in (radiator is hot). But was fixed very quickly. Excellent response time.

Very enjoyable

Liked: We stayed in one of the one bedroom apartments. Very nice, included a washer and dryer. Full kitchen. Walking distance to the castle and downtown. Right on the riverbank. Beautiful location.

Good location, helpful staff

Liked: Location, staff and nice area to sit outside Meal in restaurant was very good.
Disliked: The property is very dated. I expected more from a 4* hotel. The bathroom needs work as the shower drips, no water pressure from the taps and the window was broken (I did mention this to them) the main door sticks when you unlock it and the TV was tiny. I think my room which was in the main building needs to be updated, the bar area is run down and was also very hot inside.

Great food, beautiful view and...

Liked: Lovely river view. Comfortable room with all the extras. Conveniently close to village but quiet and on lovely river walk. Excellent dinner in restaurant and great breakfast.
Disliked: The only problem was smokers using the area below our windows to smoke resulting in a smoke filled room or having to close the windows.

Superb

Liked: Amazingly comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't eat in but had a drink in the piano bar which was nice. Location was great. Lovely hotel and would go back.
Disliked: Few cobwebs that could have been gotten rid of.

Not to be recommended!

Liked: What a shambles! We waited to check in for 45 minutes, having arrived at the same time as a coach load of other tourists. We finally sat in the bar and had a drink while we waited. The staff were friendly enough and apologetic, but maybe the offer of a drink on the house might have been appropriate. We had a room in the attic with a sloping roof in the bathroom. You could not have a shower unless you crouched in the bath and even sitting in the bath upright was a challenge. The breakfast was below par, uninspiring and merely fuel food. It was an uncomfortable stay, probably one of the worst hotels we have ever staid in and we will not be returning.
Disliked: The long wait at reception, the uninspiring breakfasts, the inaccessible bath under a sloping roof!
