Relaxing and comfortable

Liked: Amazing pillows, fantastic view, excellent meal in bar, good choice of hot food at breakfast. Good value for money.
Disliked: Bathroom, although clean, needs updating. Decor was getting a bit tired. Need steps to the reception entrance repaired for the easier access.

Very quiet and spacious room...

Liked: Spacious room, very quiet. Parking for my motorccle was possible, although paring is limited. Hotel a bit older, but still looks impressive with leather and wood interior.
Disliked: Maybe because of a coach with lots of passengers I couldn't get a seat and meal in their restaurant, had to walk 15 min to the city to find something.

We had a pleasant stay...

Liked: Lovely hotel, grand victorian building. With close proximity to the water and a short walk into town. As you enter the hotel you are greeted by friendly staff members. The buffet breakfast was delicious, potato scones are 10/10. Bar had a good selection of drinks and isn’t too expensive. We didn’t pay for the upgraded sea view but we still had a great scenic view of Bute.
Disliked: We only have positive criticism which would be that our TV had no signal and did not work. The dinner menu was pretty short and expensive for what was being offered. We ordered a Hamburger and chips which was £16 and got an “add on” of cheese for £2. For this price the burger should be out this world but unfortunately fell short being very basic and bland. We stayed for 3 nights and when our room was made up the bedsheet had not been fitted correctly and was not tucked in. Small complaint but annoying after a long day of adventuring on the isle.
