The George Manor

Looking for a comfortable experience...

Liked: Rosie and Michael welcomed us and made us feel comfortable from our first step on the property. From the breakfast to the ice maker in the room, everything was well thought out for the comfort of their guests. There was not one question that we asked that wasn't answered ~ mostly about the history of the house. Will definitely return when we visit Galveston again.
Disliked: Seriously? Everything was fantastic!

I look forward to staying...

Liked: The breakfast was really good, everyone was very pleasant. Thank you Graham for the roll away bed, it helped us both get a good sleep.

Liked: Overwhelmingly appreciative of the entire George team - from the owner to the staff - in making a 36 hour stay into a historical and fun stay at their phenomenal property. Breakfast this morning - in celebration of my birthday - was added bonus. Thank you Valerie in welcoming us for our first but not the last time. And to the Man of the Manor - thank you for connecting dots of Galveston's long history to my family, the region, and to all things art, culture.

Beautiful 1800’s Manor, centrally located...

Liked: George Manor is a beautiful mansion with a very interesting story. The original wood is stunning, the furnishings are beautiful and the wraparound porch and gardens are lovely. There are two additional buildings on the property (one that we were in) that have a living room and kitchen which added to the comfort of our stay. They serve their guests a delicious “full breakfast” daily which was enjoyed very much. The best part of our stay at the Manor was the staff! They are all wonderful! Friendly, accommodating, and full of knowledge about the manor and the Galveston area. Graham and his lovely wife (the owners) were an absolute delight! Graham was also our chef on Sunday!
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like however, if there was a pool on the property that would have been the “cherry on top” for me.

Second time to stay here...

Liked: Homey atmosphere. Where we were was like mini apartment with kitchen. Breakfast and pastries were great too!!
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient and even helped us carry our bags up and down the stairs. . The Property is a charming old house situated conveniently for the town centre.
Disliked: We should have read the description more carefully as our bathroom wasnt en suite but was a private bathroom across the hall.
