Very good

Liked: Extremely clean, great value for money restaurant, served small portions a rarity.Good location free parking opposite.Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked: Bed was very uncomfortable, and no flannels were provided.

Expensive for what we got.

Liked: Bar food and breakfast were excellent .
Disliked: Stayed here for 2 nights 14-16th June. The daytime outdoor temperature was about 16-18deg but our bedroom was extremely hot (30+deg) being located over kitchens. The windows were locked shut so there was no ventilation. Couldn't sleep a night due to the heat.

We had an excellent stay...

Liked: The room was clean and spacious. The bay window view was very nice! The included breakfast was made to order and excellent, and the staff super friendly. The restaurant, which we dined in for 2 evenings, was very good, and had an extensive menue. Bonus: The sandy beach is only a 12-15 minute walk away!

Liked: Staff were attentive
Disliked: Room was roasting hot no access to a fan, door handle was dodgy scared we would get locked in, club across road too loud. No safety on sash window, bath needed cleaned.

Liked: Very comfortable stay , large room and staff were very helpful & friendly. Food was excellent !
Disliked: It was just the bright emergency exit light in the room (25) at night was a bit of a distraction.

Liked: Single room accommodation available. I was on cycling trip to Aberdeen - I had made prior request for secure cycle storage which hotel provided in 'function room' . ( I would recommend making such a request when booking as I was not sure the storage would have been available if the function room had been in use.)Reception were friendly and efficient as were staff in bar/restaurant for evening meal and breakfast which was straightforward but very good , the menu including Arbroath Smokie which I enjoyed!
