Liked: Breakfast was excellent, bed was comfortable. evening meals were great. Location was very central to the town.
Disliked: Market stalls were put up outside at around 530 am and woke me up, out of the hotels control but .....

Liked: Friendly helpful host, large room with a good bathroom.
Disliked: Only a couple of minor issues. Shower control switch needs fixing along with toilet roll holder., both fell off

Liked: Beautiful old pub with quite extraordinarily nice and kind staff in middle of town.
Disliked: 1970s carpeting and just plain old fashioned rooms and bathrooms but all good, working order and clean

Lovely hotel that were super...

Liked: This was a lovely hotel for all the extended family to meet. The staff are great and accommodated 20+ of us for Saturday night dinner and Sunday lunch.
Disliked: The room was the hottest room I have ever stayed in, and we stayed in March! We had the windows wide open but it seemed to be the whole part of the hotel we were in, as family in other rooms said the same and you could feel it as you walked down the corridor!

Liked: Very friendly hotel with professional staff who went out of their way to help with booking a suitable room, menu choices, and information about local attractionsWe had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found the food to be excellent with a variety of menu options.
Disliked: Our room was on the first floor and I found the long, narrow corridor leading from the stairs to the bedrooms dark due to a lack of windows. However once the lighting was switched on it was more than adequate.

Liked: The room was so awful I ate out in case the kitchen was the same
Disliked: The room. Couldn’t close door as it has dropped. Need to heave it with my shoulder to get in. Bath was disgusting. Heated towel rail couldn’t be turned off so room very hot. The control for window blind was so high, I had to stand on rickety chair to pull it down. Thank goodness the hotel has been sold to The Newt

Lovely quaint hotel in a...

Liked: Easy check in, lovely room and great bathroom. We chose to eat at the George that night and dinner was simply amazing. The short rib of beef simply fell off the bone, utterly gorgeous! The sharing platter as a starter was HUGE and equally delicious. The staff were so accommodating - when we said we had to be out before breakfast would be served the following morning they made up a "pack breakfast" for us which was really kind and thoughtful. I'd definitely like to stay here again.
Disliked: There was a staff leaving party going on when we arrived that went on quite late. I thought that the gestapo like flood lighting was being triggered by people moving around outside in the courtyard, but it continued all night long which was a real shame.
