Pleasant and comfortable stopover

Liked: We stayed one night during a recent trip around the UK, on our way. It was a nice country pub, however nothing to do in the village, and a drive from Frome, etc. Nice m, friendly staff. Breakfast took a long time

It was the standard of...

Liked: No heating so the property was always cold except for a very short period in the morning. The hot food was plentiful, however, it was poorly cooked.

Nice pub and the food...

Liked: Great place to sit outside in the sun and have a drink.Very good cooked breakfast in the morning.
Disliked: Unfortunately our room was directly above the kitchen, and there didn't seem to be anything in the way of soundproofing. We could hear all the general kitchen noises plus the music the staff were playing and singing along to. No chance of a lie in as the kitchen staff started around 7am on the Sunday morning with loud banging, I can only imagine they were trying to break up something that was frozen. The slatted bed wasn't the greatest and we did wake up with our neck and shoulders aching.
