We enjoyed our stay but...

Liked: The location was lovely but the breakfast was very poor. We didn’t want a cooked breakfast and apart from packets of cereal and brown and white sliced bread that was it….. no fruit, no yoghurts and no pastries i.e. croissants, pain au raisin etc.
Disliked: The breakfast, see above.

Superb

Liked: Excellent food. My room faced the road and had a view of the castle; it contained lots of character (but uneven floors, as you'd expect). The staff were extremely helpful and even sorted me out with a charger plug to borrow, as I'd forgotten mine.

1 night escape to unwind

Liked: Nunney castle and church and the small village itself. The George itself is lovely too.Lovely waitresses.
Disliked: Being down graded because of small dog. It didn't indicate on initial booking only when we arrived. Also biggest issue are the flies in the restaurant area!!! There were lots of them; landing on you as you tried to, landing on your food, constantly waving your hands to shoo them away. I asked for us to be moved which the waiting staff were very obliging and apologetic!! Even then there were flies but less of them. I find it a shame that the flie excuse was "near a farm"!!! It's not that it's cleanliness and adequate deterant.

Very nice, enjoyable and friendly.

Liked: Breakfast and meal at night time was delicious, bed was very comfy and plenty of hot water, our shower was leaking so they upgraded our room, bath was lovely and again plenty of hot water. Very friendly staff.
Disliked: Reduce the price of food a bit and maybe a smaller portion, maybe I could have asked but I didn’t. I’m not a big eater but what I ate was delicious.
