Liked: Location was brilliant staff were friendly and efficient. Good value for access on the edge of Sequoia Nat. Park and backing onto rushing river. Great place to have a glass of wine.
Disliked: No jug/kettle or tea making facilities. Housekeeping did not make bed just pulled it up.

Convenient stay at Gateway Restaurant...

Liked: Convenient location at entrance to park, lovely comfy chairs outside the room on the porch, toiletries provided were nice, electric fireplace provided good heating that was easily adjustable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Convenient parking outside the room. Restaurant on site (big portions, expensive but guests receive a 10% discount).
Disliked: Room was very small for 4 people (beds very close together), very few outlets for charging devices, beds were not the comfiest, towels were not the thickest.

Disappointed with Dirty Dilapidated but...

Liked: Restaurant is the reason we stayed. It was pretty good. So was the selection of whiskey. Everybody was very friendly.
Disliked: Price was WAY above the surrounding hotels. Bathroom was moldy. Many furniture pieces were past their prime.
