Ideal to break up journey...

Liked: Light, spacious twin room. Excellent dinner in hotel restaurant. Good parking (own car).
Disliked: Very narrow staircase to top floor rooms was rather difficult to navigate with large suitcase. Location not as rural as expected from the photos - quite close to large traffic roundabout, but happily not too busy or noisy and far enough away not to disturb.

Liked: Room was clean and spacious.Hotel staff were lovely.Food was good.
Disliked: Very warm, no fan or air conditioning.Dining room was very uncomfortable warm, yes weather was hot but no fans or air conditioning. Breakfast was still uncomfortable as room had no fresh air coming in. Tables sticky.A lift would be handy. That there was no night porter on, from 11pm the guests are left in hotel with a phone number for emergencies. Don’t think this is suitable.

Disliked: The rooms were poorly ventilated and quite warm — it would have been nice to open the windows

Liked: Nice, comfortable room with large modern bathroom.
Disliked: Unfortunately the staff were not very friendly. Although I had notified the hotel of my dog being with us and receiving an email to confirm it was OK, on check out there was a comment made by member of staff saying she was unaware of this. I didn't think it was necessary to do this and felt it was unprofessional. The hotel is advertised as dog friendly and in the brochure theypride themselves on welcoming dogs and giving a goody bag on arrival. Unfortunately we did not receive this. The room was nice and the bathroom was spacious and modern but there was alot of dust both in the room and bathroom and flies on the window sills. The food was good and we ate outdoors as it was a pleasant evening.
