Classic elegance meets modern convenience at The Garden City Hotel, a refined stay in Long Island's charming Garden City. With 272 spacious guest rooms and suites featuring custom Italian furnishings and plush pillow-top beds, this hotel blends luxury with comfort. Located just across from the Long Island Railroad, it offers quick, direct access to New York City’s biggest music venues—without the Manhattan chaos.
Whether you're heading to a sold-out arena show or an intimate club set in Manhattan, The Garden City Hotel makes it easy. The train station right across the street gets you into the city fast and back again without the late-night subway shuffle. Guests love the quiet suburban setting, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a high-energy night. Check-in starts at 4:00 PM and checkout is a relaxed 11:00 AM—ideal for sleeping in after a late show.
Hungry after the encore? You’re covered. The hotel’s Red Salt Room by David Burke serves up premium steaks and signature entrées, while King Bar mixes craft cocktails and offers a solid bar menu. In warmer months, the seasonal Patio Bar is a chill spot for a nightcap under the stars. While there’s no 24/7 room service, options are available into the evening, and you can grab a relaxing breakfast the next morning without rushing out the door.
While the hotel scene is more refined than rowdy, there's plenty to enjoy. Sip wine at the elegant King Bar or explore nearby Garden City lounges. If you’re up for more action, hop on the LIRR for a straight shot into Manhattan’s legendary late-night vibe. Back at the hotel, it’s easy to wind down in style.
The Garden City Hotel leans more on elegance than party vibes, so if you're looking for a buzzing nightlife scene right outside your door, you might find it a little quiet. Also, while the indoor pool and gym are great to have, they close at 7 PM—so no late-night swim session here.
The Garden City Hotel is an ideal blend of comfort, class, and convenience for concert-goers who want easy city access without sacrificing peace and quiet.

Not trustworthy or forthright.
Liked: Location
Disliked: There was scheduled maintenance that left the hotel with no water. We found out at 9:00 pm at night when we overheard someone talking about it. According to the manager this was scheduled in advance. We were not told before our booking or at our check in. The manager did say she had advised employees to alert guests at check in. We had an early morning funeral and could not take showers. I was promised a refund. I was told it was approved and I only had to alert Booking.com. I was then told by booking.com that the hotel did not approve it! I called and the manager changed her story. She claimed she had not said it. She did, she told me, my husband and my daughter, all separately! I was told I would hear from another manager but never did. The water was filthy brown in the morning. We had to wash our face and brush our teeth with bottled water. There was no way to shower. As a side note… when I called the hotel reservations I mentioned there was a better price on Booking.com. I was told that if I used booking.com I would not be guaranteed a room. I was told if the hotel sold out I would not have a room or may get a different room than I booked. I was told I might get a king bed even though I had booked 2 full for 4 people. The manager did confirm via email that if I booked through booking.com I might not get the room I booked. I was forced to book through the hotel and pay $70 more.

Close to all the fun...
Liked: I loved how close the hotel was to all the restaurants, train station, and the library! It made it easy to plan my day and get to the places I needed to get to without a hassle. There was also plenty of parking for my car!
Disliked: The price was a bit high especially since the facilities weren't updated to the most modern types - more specifically the bathroom. But this wasn't too bad. Just that they could use some upkeep.
