Bad
Liked: The spa was lovely
Disliked: The rooms were disgsuting, medication from a previous booking were scattered under the bed I only found this as I had dropped my earring on the floor and as I went down to get it I saw this. The bedding was dirty. At breakfast the next morning there was dried in food on the plates. Disgusting place

For the price we paid...
Disliked: The bathroom facilities were awful. Extremely outdated shower system which would not turn off. Had to get a member of staff to come in and resolve the issue. No apology and the room was full of dampness the rest of the evening. My partner slipped in the shower as a result and smashed their head off the bath. Luckily it didn’t result in a concussion

Disappointed
Liked: The decor and surroundings were lovely and reception staff really helpful.
Disliked: On arrival, our room wasn't ready although it was after 3pm. The room we were given needed updating, the front door looked like it had been put in before and inside furnishings were grubby. We booked in for dinner, I ordered the chicken and haggis main, which arrived without any haggis, when I brought this to restaurant staffs attention, I was told they would pass on my comments and nothing else was said and was still charged full price. The other 2 mains were also incorrect but were able to sort this on our own. We had breakfast included with our booking, we had to ask for a table to be cleaned, which wasn't even done properly. We were given dirty mugs for our tea, butter was smeared on the outside of them, underneath the plates were also dirty. We had to ask for milk for our tea and there was something floating in it. The plates up at the self service breakfast were also unclean. The hot food was all cold, no fried eggs. My son ordered a waffle and couldn't cut through it, therefore inedible. We would have had some natural yoghurt, however this was sitting at the window uncovered, with the sun beating on it. I would not class the hotel as 4 star. The spa looked lovely but unfortunately my 14 year old son was not allowed to use the facilities.
