This is a very nostalgic...
Liked: We enjoyed our stay and the location. Was our first trip to Hot Springs, AR. The B&B was located within walking distance of the downtown which we found wonderful. Judy (one of the owners) was very sweet and helpful. She provided directions and maps of the area with restaurants and directions which were spot on. The dinner and staff at the German restaurant were fabulous. The room was very nostalgic and comfortable The morning breakfast was on the dot and very, very good. We certainly enjoyed every bit. We will be returning to Hot Springs.
Disliked: Nothing. We had a wonderful time.

My wife and I enjoyed...
Liked: It was absolutely beautifuland it?s location was only about a block off Historical District. The breakfast was exceptional and so were the host couple.
Disliked: Parking is very tight, so we ended up parking our SUV on the street in front of the Inn, which worked out great for us.

Just a special place run...
Liked: This was a delightful three night stay. The B and B is one of the best I have stayed in. Charming and a perfect porch. Great location and breakfasts that are outstanding.

Good B&B experience overall, excellent...
Liked: Judy was the most professional and very friendly. She was most gracias in preparing the table and serving our breakfast. The cook, whom we didn't see/meet, made breakfast that was of high quality and variety every day. She gave us information on things to see and do and places to eat. Location was the best part as it was only three blocks to Central avenue where the restaurants and shops are located. We stayed in the Lillian room which had a balcony which we enjoyed early in the morning and in the evenings to view the garden. The house itself is old but maintained and decorated very well.
Disliked: The bed was quite lumpy/uneven. Stayed 4 nights and left with an aching back. The commode is so small and short that my knees bent when sitting on it (I am a petite 4'-10"). It was worse for my husband. So I don't recommend the Lillian room if you are a large person (I don't know anything about the other rooms). The sink is in the bedroom area, not in the bathroom. I understand it's an old house and it is renovated to be a B&B but it is not meant for long stays. Oh, there's no armoire or chest o'drawers for your folded clothes and stuff. There's a closet but not enough hangers.

Fabulous and we?ll certainly be...
Liked: Our experience was great! Judy and David went out of their way to make our visit a success. The inn was spotless, the room fabulous, and the hospitality wonderful. The breakfast just topped off a great visit! Plus, we met some couples and made some new friends.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing!! We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Truly Old Victorian Charm
Liked: The room , while quirky and small, was well equipped and had a nice TV, AC, and fridge. Upstairs in home smells clean. Decent breakfast at 9 am in actual dining room!
Disliked: 2 tiny spiders in my room within minutes of walk in- one in Guest Info Binder and one on my pillow. Whole downstairs smells of pet urine.

Have Already Recommended to Family/Friends
Liked: The Gables Inn is a beautifully restored, historic home a short 5-10 minute walk from Bathhouse Row. You will not regret booking this place!! Breakfast every morning was FANTASTIC, and the Innkeeper always made sure you had everything you needed. AC works great, nice extra-big bathtub, on-site parking, accommodates vegetarian diets. Easy to work with.
