Disliked: The location was a little scary but once inside it was safe and probably the best place in the area.

Historic house in a wonderful...

Liked: Cesar and his family were excellent hosts. They provided an unparalleled experience from the tour of the home with all of the history, to his attentive nature and the most delicious breakfast that we have had in a while. There was almost nothing to complain about!
Disliked: The doors stick a little bit, but that is to be expected when you have such an old house. It really is a minor issue and didn't really affect our stay too much.

Liked: The host/owner Cesar was absolutely wonderful! The house was stunning and we loved it, of course small stuff needed repairs on the place because it is an old Victorian style inn so that was to be expected but our stay was amazing and we cannot wait to return! The hospitality and just nostalgia of staying there was great! I will recommend times over to friends and family! Much love and success to Gables Bed and Breakfast Inn.

It was an overall lovely...

Liked: Loved the beautiful old house and the wraparound porch! Very comfortable room and bed. The owners were extremely accommodating and a delicious breakfast.
Disliked: There are a few issues because of the age of the house. Our room had some ceiling plaster fall.

Liked: Great location.
Disliked: 1. Door latch on our room wouldn't catch. Had to dead bolt it every time we came into the room to keep the door shut.2. Only chair in the room was a flimsy period piece. I complained to the owner, nothing was done.3. Owners proudly served usPhillapeno food mixed in with breakfast. Very salty, thinly sliced beef. Not good.4. Owners proudly brought their small dogs to the table.5. At night, 1 or 2 am, dogs yapping loudly and constantly. Kept us awake.6. The last night I awoke around 1am to the sound of our door's latch being shaken vigorusly. We were the only occupants on that floor.7. Bed was like sleeping on a pine bench.8. Be warned, the stairs to the second floor are 2 stories tall and steep.

Pleasant stay

Liked: Good location, quiet street. A little further from the center of the city than expected. Very pretty old building, good decor, clean inside, outside patio. Very responsive host (by text), but, unfortunately, a different person on site. The room was pretty and comfortable, but smaller than expected for the price.
Disliked: The sewer smell in the yard. Dirty yard furniture. Old fixtures, very noisy fan in the bathroom, window does not open in the bathroom. On the first day breakfast was late, so I had to skip it, even though I gave the time to the host the night before.

Really pleasant. Very friendly staff....

Disliked: Bathroom down the hall in my room. Not crazy about having to interact with so many people first thing in the morning at breakfast.
