Liked: Room was clean with good air con (it was a very warm evening). Breakfast excellent and served politely.
Disliked: Location was a little further from Newbury than I expected, although staff kindly made available taxi phone numbers and I was able to arrange travel back into town without too much trouble.

Furze Bush Inn

Liked: Staff very friendly and attentive, lovely playpark to keep children occupied, excellent food and drink available in the attached pub.Room was large, air conditioned and the beds were very comfortable.
Disliked: The room we stayed in (5) was a little dated and tired, there was quite a lot of black mould around the bath seals and the light fixtures in the room were rather dusty. As we were only staying for one night this wasn't a major issue for ourselves, though may be problematic for anyone with dust allergies.
