Lovely old bar with classic...

Liked: Fantastic location. We wanted a city break and this was in a really good position. Room was funky, as per pictures, with fridge, coffee etc, huge bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. You are up above an old bar but we didn't have any problem with noise and you have a separate entrance. Food in bar was also good. Only thoughts were the need for some drawers. A couple of hangers allows you to hang your coats but not enough storage space to be able unpack.

Liked: Huge room with a lovely bath, hard to come by in this price range. Friendly staff who was friendly and accomodating, especially with my late night arrival.
Disliked: No lift- only negative.

Disliked: The beds were made for a summer night and needed a winter doona or spare blankets as you have to sleep all night with the overhead heating system at 30 degrees on to stay warm

A gem of a hotel

Liked: The hotel was centrally based. Good walking distance to restaurants and shops. The hotel room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and had a bath (with a rubber duck) as well as a twin shower and twin sinks.
Disliked: As the room was so big and traditional it took a very long time to warm up!
