Rude, incompetent staff

Liked: Location is nice
Disliked: Staff are rude and incompetent. Facilities are basic. Over priced

Had a very enjoyable stay...

Liked: The location was perfect amongst beautiful walks. We were made to feel so welcome by all the lovely staff. Big shout out to big and little Dan and Cal who were great with the customers and so friendly.

Liked: Location was brilliant for exploring the loca larea. The family room was clean and spacious. Noise from road was surprisingly minimal considering it was such a busy location. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly. We had a double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was a bit hard and quite squeaky but with a sofa bed, i feel like that comes with the territory.
Disliked: Road noise was minimal however noise from room above was not. Perhaps we were just unlucky to have some VERY heavy footed guests directly above us during our stay as the rest of the place was quiet and well positioned. No noise could be heard through walls or much from the road and passing traffic but the footfall from the room above was quite noisy. Lucky it didnt last too long.

Liked: The room was lovely and decorated really well with comfy beds. Staff were friendly enough.
Disliked: When we arrived to check-in, several staff members walked past and not one of them said anything to us. I understand that none of them may have been able to do the check-in for us, but one of them could have acknowledged us and said they would make sure someone came to see us. We ended up standing there for 5-10 mins before someone actually came to check us in. Then, the system wasn’t working and we were there for another 10 mins waiting for it to work. In the end, the guy showed us up to the room so we didn’t have to wait any longer. The only let down in the room was the toilet not flushing properly and the shower. We left the shower to run for 10-15 minutes, it was set to the hottest temp but still barely warm and my daughter was freezing. Not great after a warm days worth or walking!

Liked: Very noisy room (3) from guests above. Adjoining restaurant which used to be great has really gone downhill.

Disappointing and needs some love!

Liked: Well, nice staff! But we had a meal there and they were a chef down so all orders were taking over an hour and my dinner was incomplete. The room was dark without adequate lighting. The shower was cold and didn’t warm up. There was one thin duvet on the bed, so it was cold. We were quite sad because we’d stayed a few years ago when everything had been amazing. Clearly there has been a change in management and it really now is a shadow of its former self.
