Pleasant stay for a one...

Liked: Staff were very help and friendly. Beer garden was nice place to eat supper as bar/dining room was very busy. Would have been a problem if it hadn’t been a lovely evening
Disliked: The property was very busy due to function. Room was very hot and too noisy to keep window open due to party. Bottles being emptied into bin overnight No hair dryer in room. Room service was adventure not available.

Liked: The hotel is set back away from the road, with plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. An ample supply of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate plus milk (more generous than any other place I've stayed). Very reasonable price, and quirky, interesting rooms. Packing trunks as bedside tables, and real mohair blankets over the foot of the beds. Two pillows and one cushion per single bed. Bedrooms were away from the bar area so no noise came through.
Disliked: No wardrobe but a very useful row of sturdy hanging hooks which was sufficient for us.
