Highly recommended stay!

Liked: Honestly, I cannot recommend this more - I had the absolute best stay this weekend at The Fox! The staff was insanely kind and helpful, the room and facilities were on par with what I expected - if not better - and the cleanliness and comfort of the room made me feel so relaxed. I enjoyed this stay so much and would recommend it to solo travelers, couples, and families alike! The restaurant & bar is the cherry on top, where I was able to have a delicious British Sunday roast :)

Nice but could be better

Liked: Very accommodating for extra room to get ready before accessing our booked room so able to get ready for our event and staff happy to move bags
Disliked: Actual room Allocated after temp room was very small and would have been difficult to get dressed in and breakfast service very slow

Unfortunate choice for a short...

Liked: Selected for the location- we were on a family visit and I was born close by. The room was clean and bathroom functioned if a little small.
Disliked: This is a village pub with rooms, yes we arrived 1 hour before checkin, but had to wait to checkin or be charged. I am sure that I booked the room with breakfast as I always do., but was asked to pay extra for breakfast. The room was too small for two people-especially with a suitcase. The throw cushions on the bed took up too much space, so we eventually stored them under the bed, each day finding them spread across the bed once more. I have not slept in a small double bed with the two of us for years. My wife and I found ourselves balanced on a rather soft edge to the bed, with resulting backpain. To cap everything, service in the restaurant was really slow. 45 mins between courses is excessive after a long wait to order, this capped with a request to vacate the dining room immediately after our last course as they wished to close. Food was passable, if not great. In all a bad experience- possibly they were distracted by an upcoming 20th anniversary, but with this type of service, it will not last much longer.

Great comfortable and clean accommodation

Liked: Lovely overnight stay, very clean, bed comfortable and big, lovely bath in middle of room and nice toiletries . Millie was very helpful and breakfast was good. Recommend

This was our third stay...

Liked: Breakfast was great. Staff unfailingly friendly and efficient
Disliked: The Room was small, with no storage. The bathroom was just adequate.The parking spaces which we thought were reserved for residents were taken by visitors for the 6 nations event and we had to park in the road until a space became available.
