A beautiful academic place to...

Liked: The building from the outside is beautiful and the village . The hosts were warm and welcoming, and will do anything for you. We had a meal that was put on for us, even though the restaurant was closed. What a lovely addition our room was out of this world with an extraordinary bathroom. Would highly recommend staying at this place.
Disliked: We loved it all.

Lovely little pub with big...

Liked: Big room and bathroom (although we're not really fans of open plan bathrooms). Clean and very quiet at night. Had everything we needed.Lovely cooked breakfast.
Disliked: Really thick duvet made us very hot in bed so didn't sleep well. Heating off in the morning, so cold getting out of the shower and at breakfast.

Great stay close to Stamford,...

Liked: The warm welcome. The rooms lovely and comfortable.
Disliked: The bathroom was a tad cold.

Cold noisy and disappointing stay.

Liked: The fire in the main bar was welcoming and meal was very tasty. Room was very spacious.
Disliked: Arrived at 5:30pm and hour and half after check in time and pub and bedroom was freezing cold. After shown to the bedroom we decided to return to the bar as the fire had been lit and only source of heating. When we sat down for evening meal it was cold in dining room away from the fire which was not pleasant. When we retired to bedroom the heating had been turned on so was much more comfortable. Then the music and karaoke started in the bar directly below the bedroom which unfortunately went on until 01:30am!! No one to discuss our issues with in the morning left without seeing anyone. Very disappointed with our stay.

Friendly, comfortable, excellent Inn. Just...

Liked: Excellent Inn. Room was lovely with deep bath and separate spacious shower. Breakfast was good and dinner on both nights was very tasty.We had a good couple of nights stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
Disliked: Nothing.

Our first year wedding anniversary...

Liked: The place is lovely, the owners are brilliant and the food is fantastic. It's perfectly situated near to the lake, Oakham with easy access to main roads.
Disliked: Our room was lovely but could do with a small sofa at the bottom of the bed just to relax and watch a bit of TV, we only say because the table and chairs in the room are a bit uncomfortable
