The Founders Inn and Spa Tapestry Collection by Hilton

They charged a random one dollar to my card and 25$ for "missing cards" that they did not inform me needed to be turned in. Our door did not lock - we would close it and it just needed to be pushed and it'd open. It's a very old hotel and not for young adults. They also accused us of smoking in the room and charged an additional $159 for a smoke smell in the room. However we did not smoke in the room. A smoke smell stays on clothes and will linger a bit but nobody actually smoked inside the room and I was charged. My experience was very bad with my very short stay there. The cab ride was $25 one way to Farm Bureau Live. Thank you for reading.

Liked: Was 8 miles from Farm Bureau Live.
Disliked: When I was checking out they did not ask for or tell me that the card keys would cost $5 extra per card if they were not turned in. The bathrooms were small and only two towels were supplied.

Liked: If you're going to a concert, it is a good price for how close it is to the venue (Farm Bureau Live).
Disliked: Front desk was nice, but reservation department failed to call me back several times and was overall difficult to work with.

Liked: Great for concert - about $25 cab ride. Excellent service.
Disliked: The bedding.

Liked: Very nice gardens!
Disliked: We tried ordering room service but there was not much information online, the website looked to be outdated for the room service section, and the phone number for it did not work. We called the restaurant directly (also difficult to find a phone number for), and they told us that there was none for that holiday weekend. Understandable, but would have been nice if it was posted somewhere.

Stay closer to the beach

Liked: Having a dog park at the property was a nice surprise.
Disliked: There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Pull out sofa did not have fitted sheet on and the bed sheets available were not enough. Weird sound from fridge. TV signal was not good. Staff was unprepared and unprofessional.

Fantastic, exceeded expectations.

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic! Rooms were clean! I loved that there was a dog park for our puppy!! The pool was great and so was the gym. All around great facilities.
Disliked: Need more availability at the spa. There were no massages available for us.

Not My Cup Up Tea...

Liked: The Location was convenient for the trip tasks. The grounds are quite beautiful. The staff was amazing and did their very best to accomodate my needs and disappointment, especially a young woman named Grace.
Disliked: The hotel is old, dated and not worth the nightly rate. The room was tiny with one small window, had a dark and isolated vibe. There was a dog show Scheduled at the hotel this particular weekend unbeknown to me, so one night was flooded with a crying and barking dog.

Nice

Liked: The old rich look, beautiful gardens.
Disliked: The restaurant was not good, 4 out of 5 us didn't like the mustard sauce, took over an hour and half to get the main food.
